- allow video comments using vPIP. need a plugin that will ask me for a video URL and Thumbnail....then it would post the thumbnail in the commnet...when played, it would launch the thickbox player. (jay)
- vPIP feature request for sometime in the future: WordPress now comes with an Export feature that you can use to import your posts/categories/customfields/comments into a new install of WordPress. It doesn't export the vPIP tables, only the core wordpress stuff. I'd like to see the ability to export the vPIP info and re-import along the lines of what WordPress has done with their Export feature (or even added into their export feature). Dang. I mean WHY didn't they just make it detect and export custom tables?! (cheryl)
- Dream feature. vPIP could recognize my computer's camera....and let me upload a video comment. You would see a thumbnail and any text/links I add. (all this would be customizable by the blog owner. Just let me provide FTP access to my server.) (Jay)
- embed code should display and play Flash videos in Google Reader....and not take me to an outside page (jay)
create some skins for Enric's flash player to go with our themes (later!)
vPIP list from Hackathon page -- we can ERASE anything that's already all done
- fix vPIP so flash video plays within Google reader (test bloglines, miro, iTunes, any others?)
- When you install vPIP without reading the directions — placing the "vPIPwp" directoryin the plug-ins directory (like every other WP plug-in) — it doesn't work. You have to take the contents of the vPIPwp directory and put that in the plug-ins directory, discarding the vPIPwp folder completly. Since this is different than every other WP plug-in, most WP users end up first with a problem to troubleshoot, and then have to find and digest the documentation in order to get it to work. From a UI stand-point, this is bad. Can't we ship the thing so there is no vPIPwp folder, and people make the correct installation choice right off the bat??
- add whatever it is that Video Archives needs so it can create a back button on the archive pages
- is it possible to make the "close" button NOT shift the video down a few pixels when you click to play, possibly by 2) moving it to the bottom of the video playback & incorporating it as a text link listed with the playback choices under the video - and if placed there, give it a special class we can style to look different than the other links to help it be visually obvious
- If you 1) turn vPIP on in the plug-ins panel, 2) go to the home page of your site... things are crazy broken / errors messages everywhere. What is required is to go to the Options/vPIP Config panel, and even if you change nothing, to click the "Change vPIP Options" button. I believe that it then makes the tables needed. This is another weird, scary moment for those of us who don't read directions... and if there's another way it can happen, so the tables are created when the plug-in is turned on, rather than when the options are changed -- that would be great.
