WordPress is a fantastic blogging tool and we’ve been using it to run videoblogs for a few years now. Over time we’ve begun to develop and use some tools that make WordPress better suited for video. Show In A Box was created to bring these all together and create the ultimate videoblogging platform.

Here’s the idea:

We’ve customized the WordPress blogging platform so it defaults to our “showinabox” video-centric theme, built for 640-pixel-wide video playback right in the browser window.

We made several cool visual presentation styles for you, and made them easy to customize. Best of all, you can switch between different styles from within the WordPress admin panel.

We’ve included plugins built just for videobloggers to help your audience dig into your content. The vPIP plugin provides choices for your audience - they can watch and subscribe to the video format they like best.

We’re working on video tutorials to teach you the smoothest installation and workflow.

A future highlight is the “Pledge Drive” feature, which will let you set a monthly goal that you need to raise in order to produce your show. Viewers can directly pledge a monthly donation through PayPal or credit card. All your videos are free to watch, but you are asking your community to support the work you’re doing.
