New Theme Plan

Since we're getting rid of the "Box" we've decided to break up all the themes. This will also allow people to make themes that are not based on K2.

There is now a generic Show In A Box version of K2 rc3 in the SIAB Themes SpinXpress group.

You can take that and create a theme and variations (styles) if you'd like.

TO DO for the Themes in general

 

Can we move the " <<older                     Newer >>" stuff to under the post, instead of on top of the content div??

 

Can we get rid of the "ARCHIVE" headline that K2 throws up at the top of the content div when you are surfing through older posts?

 

Can we hack the overall template to put the published by / author / date / categories / and tags BELOW the video AFTER the text of the post?

RosettaStone

Using the Sandbox Theme as a base (it has the bare minumum of stylesheet info), edit the core theme files to change the placement of posts and other elements.

Create two loops on main page to place one "featured" post to always sit on top. Other posts follow underneath. (documentation coming soon)

Place Recent and Related video plugin code underneath to sit horizontally underneath the "featured" post. (documentation to folow)

Create stylsheet framework to help visualize new placement of elements.

After all core file edits are done, create different stylesheets to offer SIAB users a variety of "plug and play" video themes.

Create and include all necessary documentation with theme download, or make all documentation available on a page on SIAB.
