bbPress and WP can work together beautifully. Here's what we can do:

Forum:

• ability to customize the CSS to match look of blog.
• avatars for members
• members can upload videos/photos for each post *******
• forum topics could showcase video(s) for dicussion.
• ability to put sidebar widgets to show "most recent forum posts" and "most recent photos/videos" from commenters.
• use Open ID

   

• Under the video, there would be a "discuss" button. Clicking it would pop up a comment box, plus most recent forum posts. Would also show most recent videos/photos from commenters. ******
• or Plugin/widget that showed most common forum posts on sidebar
